The India/Pacific Ocean region is connected by air and sea and it faces common problems, such as climate change, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, and wind and flood damage.

On September 15, a meeting was held between 17 researchers and experts in the India/Pacific Ocean region and with students and professors of the Graduate School of Disaster Resilience and Governance.

Participants learned about the current state of climate change and disaster prevention and thought about what kind of future collaboration will be needed to solve these problems.
