On August 2 and 3, the University of Hyogo, as a cooperating university, participated in this event at the Himeji Co-ed Collaboration Participation Promotion Center.

The event was hosted for junior high school students in the city. Students visited local universities and businesses for hands-on learning. Through these experiences, students could gain an idea of what their lives would look like studying or working in the field natural sciences.

Members of the Graduate School of Engineering participated in this event. On August 2, Associate Professor Tsuchida gave a lecture entitled “Let’s Try Micro-observations and Structural Analysis of Metals” and Associate Professor Yamazoe gave one entitled “Let’s Learn Microcomputer Programming to Move Robots”.

On August 3, Professor Takeo gave a lecture entitled “The First Step in Research on Organisms, Observing Microorganisms and Insects Using Optical Microscopes and Electron Microscopes” and Associate Professor Araki gave one entitled “Let’s Try Moving Robots Using Biological Signals”.
